I decided to check whether my original Boost Control Solenoid still had the little restrictor plug on the lower tube, and whaddya know, it did! So I removed it, I'm sure the extra 1-2 psi wont make much difference but I'm curious to see. HOWEVER, for some stupid reason, I had the 2 vacuum lines leading to the solenoid mixed up. I have no idea what the effects of that could have been, maybe the worse fuel consumption I was getting? Well, I'm glad I caught that. Next time I take it for a spin I'll see if the boost gauge would read any different.

Took the stock car out after some idle adjustments, totally on Speed Density and drove for about an hour with no issues. 16g upgrade from 13b with a FP mani. See I need more fuel under boost but all in all, a super happy day....and no leaks! Still on 390 injectors but 1120s waiting in the wing.
Crossing fingers!!!

Washed both my cars and got my headlight lenses for converting to led but I will need to do some work to get them to fit so they are a no go on my stocker sadly.
"Fits your vehicle" ya ok I already knew it wouldn't plug and play. Nothing just bolts in in the car world.

Installed and started to configure ECU-based boost control with ecmlink and Ingersoll-Rand 3 port solenoid. Also, installed a factory baffle for the fuel pump, as I was getting fuel pressure dropping in WOT with a 3/4 or less tank of fuel  stupid stock 2g awd fuel tanks, hoping it helps a bit.

Oh wow, I just noticed that compared to yours, my baffle tub is missing one of the pieces. Oh well.

Probably not a big deal if you're not having any misfires or fuel pressure issues. The original one was completely removed at some point in this car's life, so fuel must have been sloshing all over the place on me. I actually forgot 2gs even had these things, got lucky and sourced one out fairly quickly.

Installed a new Dorman door handle today and while I was at it I uninstalled the stock smic. Wow. LOL.

Looks like a bird hit it man. Also there are some pinhole leaks. Nothing MAJOR, but would definitely account for some power loss, and start up issues that went away with the fmic install.

Also good god this car rips with just the change from a smic to a fmic. Can’t wait til I can seriously start modding it. Next thing hopefully is a thermal catback exhaust and a generic 3” downpipe.

Pulled it out of the garage and started it for the first time in 2yrs and 6mos after finally getting it all back together. Coolant flush and idle tune is complete. Cruse tune and emissions test tomorrow so I can re-register the plates!

Checked the CAS and CPS sensors and harness. They passed. Noid light on the injectors, got a pulse. Not sure where else to look for problems. It will start and run for 1-3 seconds and die. Sounds like a lawn mower. Going to swap the ECU for an OEM unit and put in stock injectors, see if she runs.

Passed emissions.

Tossed in a new battery last weekend to replace the five year old one. Moved it and that was it. Hope to give it a wash in a few weeks before cold weather comes.

How the hell did you pass with no cat?
'96 and newer vehicles in AZ are OBD readiness and gas cap only, no visual inspection or sniffer.

Made this for it. Coolant overflow can. Made one out of aluminum but didn't make the tubes long enough on one and it had a sight tube I didn't trust. This one is stainless and built proof...The "IN" pipe/tube goes down to 1" from the bottom, tank is 3x9"
