Brushed some tremclad on the backside of inner rocker rust repairs.

Cancelled plans to drill diff bolt access holes in spare wheel well.
Found a tech article on here showing how to do it, and use plugs for the holes.
Sheetmetal isn't close to flat, so there is no way those plugs would seal out anything.

I was thinking of a plug n play harness, but I couldn't decide on one so I went with this cheap option. Still can add the harness connectors later if I ever find 10 terminal I like.

Ah, I'm trying to find something I like but no luck. My uC switches ground and I have 3 LEDs in series with 18 parallel strings (this is just an example of one board) so I need either an SMD connector (I'd like 1 pin but they are not common) at every 3 or one 9 pin connector for top and bottom halfs of said board.

Not DSM related but I GUTTED my work shop today, I can actually move around down there now and it will make me actually want to do some work.

Got playing around trying my hand at being betsy ross. Yeah did some sewing......

Turned out pretty good. :thumb: Redline goods wrap, foam kit, and a evo wheel with the cover stripped off. A few hours of this side , that side, this side, that side, pull pull, squeeze squeeze, pull pull, then repeat.

Nice work....and beer choices :thumb:

So I've been chasing down a phantom knock issue in the DSM...at low rpms it would see ridiculous knock. Got in the car to chase it down more today, and by chance forgot something inside the house. Got out of the car, and heard a loud fast pace metal on metal tapping/pinging sound. Pushed down on the hood, and it went away completely. Lift off...it's back. Open the hood, and the Megan Racing strut-tower bar is the culprit. Took it off, and it's gone. Zero knock anywhere. Which is strange considering below..

Afterwords I emptied the "catch can"(in reality it's an ebay coolant can thing that's been modified for the VC lines...going to be taken off soon) and oil/coolant mix came out. That's always nice. It does use coolant(not majorly but I do have to check it and refill it occasionally) and oil SPRAYS out of the BOV. It's an eGay 16G so I'm assuming the turbo is dying a fast death. I'm going to also just assume that it's not the turbo and that the HG is blown. Good stuff. DSM doing what it does best. :p

I don't even know where to begin flaming you for all of this.

:backs away slowly:

Working on mounting my S2000 cluster in the dash. After that I'll finish the last bit of wiring for the fuse box and voltage gauge so I can mount those, then my dash will be ready to go back into my car.
Once that is done, it's time to start finishing and looming my harnesses.

Yuck it up astronauts, I got the car this way. :p

Slowly but surely she's coming together though. PCV system has officially been routed normally, 16G will be removed shortly(it's dying) for a 14B that's on the way(no shaftplay!) and fresh 0 mile motor built and assembled by BogusSVO will be sittin' pretty in the engine bay soon as well.

You guys don't even want to know how ECMLink was set up when I got this car. Just a little hint to whet your appetite, all the SD options were set...when the car was on the MAF. Thermostat was upside down and failed close, missing a freezeplug on the back of the block...ROFL

And yes, it was an aftermarket coolant overflow tank. Guy I got it from had two brass fittings installed where the "level" fittings were(to view coolant level) that have hoses from the PCV and vent fittings on the VC to the can, and another hole drilled in that's topped with a breather filter...good stuff(this is sarcasm for you thick folks out there in DSMTuners land).

Sandblasted one of rear brake brackets/dust shields. Would have done the other if it wasn't freaking -30C :(

Wiped it down with acid etch, applied a skim coat of JBweld to dust shield to fill pitting/holes. Supposedly this stuff will hold up to powdercoat temps... we'll see.

LMFAO!

Can I just link to those pictures and your post for the discussion we're having on Talk re: Community?

Just...wow.
