what cams, doing major upgrades

About to do a build, I'm going with a 2.4, forged crank, manley i-beam rods and 1400 HD pistons. I'll be using a FP DSM86 turbo so i'd like the 2.4 to help with spool times.
Because of the 2.4L, I'm not going to set the rev limiter beyond about 8K.
I'd like to use 280/280 cams, but i'm wondering if I'll be able to utilize their power range with the rev limiter at 8k?

280s are good but there are some FP cams designed for 2.3L+, FP3s. If you can find a used set I would get them, I did and they are so nice on my 2.3. It's auto, and now feels peppier down low than my daily corolla.

i liked the 272 over the 280s in my 2.4.
