I seem to keep buying the same crap spark plug wires from the auto part stores, what brand and how much did you pay for yours?? Does the width matter? Name your brand and where did you get them!:talon:

Taylors are my favorites; I've had three different sets on DSMs & other cars and never had any problems with them. The ones that are made to fit seem to do so with minimum slack, yet always have enough length to allow plug removal w/o having to disconnect the wire from the coil like I used to have to do on the wife's Neon. I like them on DSMs better than the others I've had (Mallory, Accel and NGK); even sold a perfectly fine set of Accel wires to put a set of Taylors on my latest GSX.

from what i have noticed and what i am running now and what i have heard the stock plug wires are the best

The 8.5mm Magnecores have always been absolute crap for me in terms of life, as they seem to arc very easily for me in short periods of time. I've heard this from others too, and I swear against them.

I've used NGK 8mm wires and generally they seem to work ok but one time the end cap pulled right off the plug when I was pulling it out, so there was a big rubber piece around the spark plug :( Barely any room to get a tool in there to get it out, but after like half an hour of trying and a lot of cursing I finally did.

I use Accel 8mm wires now, and they haven't had any problems, but the general design of the actual plug area seems the same as the NGK. Will just have to wait and see.

Magnecores are usually a hit or miss. I've seen sets that seal and work great, my sets have always been clumsy and poor sealing. I've ran my original NGK blue wires since 2003 and they're great. I finally decided to replace them this coming season :thumb:

On my "old" motor I had a set of nology hotwires. For sparkplug wires they are expensive as hell like $150 but they really smooth everything out in the whole rpm band....I also noticed alitte more topend power.

NGK.

I've tried Magnecor and was one of the people that had problems with them. Had to buy a cheap set of Bosch's while on a trip just so I could make it home after I had problems with the Magnecor wires.

MSD with NGK plugs. i had the Nology wires but they got jacked up when the car overheated. they aren't worth the money IMO

In two pages I noticed ONE person posted about Taylor Wires. These are what are on my motor right now. They came with it and it's a JDM 6-bolt GVR4 motor. I haven't had the time/money to swap them 'cause they work fine once I changed the fouled out plugs. I was thinking about it soon since it's one of the last few things for me to do when it comes to maintenancing my motor.... any other opinions on the Taylor's in terms how they hold up and transfer energy? No need to replace them if they're in good condition and work well, which they seem to do... but I'm paranoid.

The j-body and GTP guys all like Taylor wires. Dunno if the DSM application is as good as Pontiac though...

NGK Plugs and Wires here. Going off previous owner, they've been on here since 06. I've had no issues with them so far.
