My old spark plugs/wires went out not too long ago. I took it to a shop and they put generic brand plugs/wires into my car. I've always had the feeling my car wasn't running to its full potential with the mods that I have and wondering if this could be the cause of it. I see most people use Magancore and NGK.

For those of you that had poor performance and changed to NGK/MAGNACORE was there a noticeable gain in power?

Here's what Extreme Motorsports says about these plugs and wires:

NGK Iridium: long life, lower fuel consumption and improved ignition efficiency characteristics giving enhanced power and acceleration

Magnecor Wires: highly flexible, fit the stock wire holders, and are red in color. The fit and finish on this wire set is second to none

I put both on...haven't really noticed any difference in performance. Haven't check gas mileage yet...
