Weird oil leak (Top of valve cover)

Recently I've been having a problem with an oil leak. Oil is collecting on top of the valve cover and looks like a decent amount has been sprayed randomly throughout the engine bay. It started happening after I painted my valve cover.

maybe a bad oil cap or its broken.

Probably a crack in the valve cover caused by over-tightening. This is very common...

pictures will help a lot. +2 on valve cover being cracked if it was over tightened.

Found it, PO used a lock washer instead of a crush washer on the power steering line. Found an exhaust leak when I was poking around, the bung placeholder for an egt sensor that I haven't installed yet was rattling around loose. Wish you had to pass an IQ test to put a wrench to these things.
