Weird intake situation...

I recently picked up a 1g TB to swap onto my 2g. I read RRE's and came to the section where I needed to port my manifold. I went to match the holes from the TB to the manifold and they are the exact same diameter. You can run your finger all around and it has a smooth transition. I know my manifold is a 2g, but are there two different sizes? Im very confused

Are you sure its a 2g manifold? Does it look like this?

Do you have a picture of your intake manifold?

^looks exactly like that, has the MDP on the top...has to be a 2g

And it has a 60mm opening?

the 1g turbo TB is the same diameter as my intake manifold hole...very weird, I know

Perhaps your intake manifold was ported out in the past?

could be possible, but I wouldn't know why they would port it out and not put a 1g TB on it...I was just trying to see if anybody has ran into a similar situation.

If your intake port measures out to be 60mm, then I say pay it no mind and continue with your 1G TB install.
