So i'm looking at buying this 90 eprom ecu off of ebay but it has tabs towards the bottom of the ecu and not any on the sides where they should be any ideas? Could i just switch the board into my case or should not even buy it?

dont buy it off e-bay its probaly junk:notgood: . I got mine from a speed shop that sends the ecu's out and has them socketed and and replaces the caps and completly goes over the circuit board and checks out the board they can also add a chip to the board anywhere from stage one too stage four depending on what your looking to get out of the car, and best of all they will stand behind the eprom ecu. I bet that e-bay ecu has not been checked out and when the unit doesnt even work, good luck getting ## money back. The speed shop is on the web at Rx4speed.com they carry alot more stuff then they show on there site. Good luck

THe ecu it self should be fine he said the capacitors where just replaced.
That really doesn't tell you much about the condition of the ECU. From what I see very few capacitor replacement are done correctly.

How do you know if the ECU circuit board is for or will work with a DSM?
Do you have part numbers for the case and for the board?

Steve

It's pretty fishy.

MD302726 looks like it is for a 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.8L (4g93 NA engine)

The second picture is from the DSMlink site. http://www.dsmlink.com/images/photos/inside1geprom.jpg

Doesn't that make you wonder why they didn't post a picture of their board?

I suggest you pass.

If you notice the epprom he shows to the right has tabs on the side, like a dsm would. The one on the left (item hes trying to sell) has tabs on the top. They are two different ecu's he is showing.
