Walbro with rewire...Need help

Ok so when i got my current DSM it had a walbro with a rewire.

When i turn the key to the on position the fuel pump does not come on. It only comes on when i start cranking it. Because of this it take 2-3 cranks to start my car. I hear it come on when the starter is activated, and turn off when not.

From when i have read, The pump is supposed to activate when the key is on.

I was looking at the relay today. I swapped one the the wires onto a different terminal and the pump turned on with the key not even in the car.

Is this typical of the rewires? If you want i can get some pics of the wiring and relay.

Did you rewire it for consistent flow or to come on when you turn the key to the on position?

These cars fuel pumps only turn on when cranking the motor. Not when the key is in the on position. The rewire is correct. Also, you if you research a bit more you would have found that walbro fuel pumps do not hold pressure like the stock fuel pumps do. They must build pressure virtually every start up. But the upside is you have constant voltage to the fuel pump now.
