walbro 255 install and rewire. IS The REWIRE NEEDED?

The installation doesent look to hard for me. Does the 255 need a rewire for it to work like it should.

I've seen the flow differences for 12volt. To 13.5 volt and there's quite a good amount of differences.

Just wondering if I should expect problems if I don't rewire.

And can anyone tell me if I should get a new sock for the 255?

There's one on there but it looks a little old.

the pic would be nice thanks. no im not trusting it at all but i only paid 800 so im not too upset ab it. My turbo i can move the shaft ever so slightly it gets a small bit harder to spin if i put pressure on it but it doesnt feel like it it hitting the housing. one thing i can say is that (sitting still just running it through the gears) its really smooth compared to my awd talon i had.

If it is actually a 255 walbro pull it out and you will see the W with the word walbro inside. It is fairly easy to see.

Most of the Kits you buy will even come with step by step instructions...

I'm on a 255lhp with no rewire and i still got enough fuel up top. 50trim @25psi

Depending on your goals, you don't need to rewire. All the rewire does is allow you to push more fuel. If you don't rewire it, it will whine louder.

imshooting for 350. i wont rewire it unless its necessary. while im at it ill prob throw a switch in line. great antitheft device if i ever take it to the city(stl, shit hole town )
