Does the rewire apply for the Walbro as well or that is only for the stock Pump to get maximum output?

i have mine rewired. it seemed to quiet it down quite a bit. make sure you have an afpr before you do it tho

Notice anything different with the re-wire. I've had a 255 w/AFPR for over a year now with no problems besides the whine.

I didnt notice anything different when I rewired mine. But from what I have read it should have constant voltage now.

I don't see why rewiring the pump would make it any quieter. Walbro pumps are known for being whiney, and that's what you get for $100. Are you sure you didn't fill up the tank or dream that it was quieter? If you're going to spend the money on a new pump, DO THE REWIRE. It's only going to help, if anything and it's easy and cheap.

Ive read the VFAQ on the rewire... but now my question is... I am relocating my battery to the trunk... so the only difference is that I will be using less 10 guage as the battery will be closer? Everything else is the same?

neural, yes, your rewire will be the same. Just remember to have a fuse on the new line you put in, close to the battery no matter where you put the battery.

As everyone else mentioned, do the rewire. Otherwise, your pump will only be supplied with ~10 volts at WOT. And as the previous poster mentioned, make sure you fuse the wire. I used a 30A jumper wire w/ inline fuse, which has worked great for me. They are like $3.00 at WalMart. :thumb:
