i haves 2 new 255lph Walbro fuel pumps for evo8 with install kit can i use it on a 1g? or do i need to buy a install kit for the 1g?

I dont know what a Evo install kit looks like but there is only one way to find out...

They make different install kits for the 1g, 2g, and Evo so you clearly need a 1g install kit unless you can fabricate it using the Evo install kit.

Or you can compare the Evo install kit to the 1g kit.

I installed an evo8 stock pump in my 1g without an install kit. Had to trim the rubber piece that goes at bottom of pump. Stock 1g pump is 50mm body and evo is 38mm like 2g. Gss-341 is the typical walbro part# used for 1g awd.
Judging by the pic, that kit would work fine, you may just need to trim the rubber piece. Just get the corresponding install kit for the fuel pump part# you have. The prefilter that is on your 1g pump now will not fit on the walbro, thats for sure.

yea 2g and evo you don't need a install kit so I'm assuming you'd have to have some type of wireing harness for it to match up.
