So quick question, what is the part number for the 525 in-line fuel pump?

I had twin in-tank 255's and twin in-line 255's before, I am changing them out for 90000285 twin in-tank and want to upgrade my in-line fuel pumps as well.

I am only seeing a Walbro GS396 that is 350lph.

I don't think there is one.
What I do see though is the "Veyron" pump, here:
https://walbrofuelpumps.com/walbro-7-00228-51-inline-intank-fuel-pump.html

On that page they only rate it at 330 LPH and I haven't found a flow vs pressure chart for it yet.
330 LPH is better than 300 LPH which is what they actually rate the GSL396 at.
But without a chart it's kind of useless I think.

Walbro "Veyron" is a little confusing to me at the moment because in the 2019 Radium Engineering article, they measured the Walbro BKS1000 intank pump at 577 LPH and they said it uses the "Veyron" pump plus a controller.

BTW that's a great article to read for comparing the 2 versions of the "Hellcat" pump (the F90000295 and the F90000285), the Bosch BR540, the Walbro F90000274, and some other pumps. All in-tank though.

Here is a picture Tim. #F90000285. We just installed one into my sons Holley Sniper 400 SBC in-tank setup on his 86 Z28. Holley's inline 255 (a Walbro with their name on it and more $) wouldn't supply enough fuel to keep it from dropping under WOT, so he knew my turbo cars worked well with that pump up to 85lbs (he only requires 58). It was a direct swap and my son sure made the setup look nice.

Well I am getting pretty dam fast at doing a 1g hanger. I think the last time I pulled mine, it took 9 minutes to get it out and another one in......done it too many times. AN fittings sure make a hell of a difference too.

I got everything wrapped up and the MagnaFuel 625 makes pulsating noises when the 535 is pushing fuel through it so I am at a cross roads of whether or not I keep the 625. The options seem to come down to adding a surge tank for the 625 and ditch the 535 for a smaller lift pump or punching the relief valve on the 535 and praying it doesn’t drop pressure at WOT again.

Has anyone modded the 525 or 535’s relief valve like the old 255’s?

Seems like I’m talking to myself in here but that’s ok haha I did the relief valve mod and tested my fuel pressure up to 90+psi so hopefully that holds. I also ordered a KB boost-a-pump to really see how far the 535 will go!

I’ve read that as well but mine was dropping pressure at 80psi and caused me to go very lean. I drilled out 535 where the relief valve should be and verified it is indeed there, I was able to push the spring down so it’s similar to the other walbros. Will let you guys know how it handles when I install the BAP with the pushed down relief valve.

Been forever since I’ve been on this site. I’ve changed careers and am on a layoff right now.

The 525 never came in an in-line configuration from the factory as far as I’m aware.

Idk if thing’s have changed? At the time 2 people were making adapters —> Radium and I forget who else. Radium used hose clamps and bracketry to compress a o-ring.

The other design was some kinda collar / clamp design. Looked superior. Two halves went over the pump’s bottom and were screwed together. Don’t remember the sealing design.
