Walbro 525 (No Check Valve) Siphon Mod

I upgraded my fuel pump from a 450 to the 525, feed line to -6an and the return to the oem feed line. Ever since doing those upgrades I have to refill my tank at 1/2 and seems as though the drivers side is still full, which makes me believe the siphon is not working properly. The siphon is already at 1/8" like many people do and worked for the 450. I don't want to open it up more and have an issue where nothing at all is coming over as I've read people having issues where their pumps begin to starve after a short drive. Has anyone gone larger than 1/8" when upgrading to pumps larger than the 450, particularly the 525?

I also see people upgrading the the evo siphon but I don't think I can do that unless I swap the return to a bulkhead.

I have a 535 with no check valve but in a GVR-4. I know it's not the same thing but I'm on a stock feed and stock return with the exception of the usual SS line upgrade. No issues so far but I'm far from actual turning. I just drive the car for now

How's the 1st cranks? Usually by the 4-5 crank mine starts and I'm usually running ethanol.
