What are the limits of the fmic, im aiming for 900 hp or more, i owned one but sold it when i was going to part out my car and have been thinking about buying another or am i better off buying a garett core and welding my own end tanks on, they will still be welded on so the cold pipe goes through the radiator support, would the vrsf handle say 1000hp from a borg warner s400?

If you are aiming for that much hp then why would you not go with a higher quality core such as an ETS one? The VRSF one is an awesome FMIC for the money (I have one) but for that much power I wouldn't even consider it.

Go through the dyno sheets and check the profiles of members. I agree with ^^^, buy a ETS ic if youre looking for that much power. I mean, budget obviously isnt an issue if youre even thinking of 1000hp right??LOL

My buddy just put down 800 awhp on his evo 8. It was tuned at AMS and they told us that he needs the 5 1/2" ETS kit for his "street car" this was on a PTE 6466

Don't do It. FMIC is an essential part of the puzzle and I thought the exact thing and had to learn the hard way. Just get an ETS etc. Do it once and do it right.

Just call up/Message Extreme Turbo Systems

Can't go wrong with a Lifetime warranty, Not to mention some of the best people in the business backing their products up. :thumb:

Alright good deal, I was looking at the ETS intercooler but just cant justify the $1300 price tag when im just going to cut up the pipes and weld them, so ill get in touch with them and see if i can buy just the core, cause no matter what was i configured it the pipes themselves were $400

call ETS and get pricing and info. But after you get price check extreme psi price. As with most of their parts I found their ETS core prices to be lower then ETS.

Not sure why you would need to cut anything up... They will custom build about anything to suit your needs. They do sell just their cores. Best bet is to just get in touch with them... .

Only because they roll there pipes to fit couplers and im going to run no couplers its all going to be welded together minus the v band clamps on the ends. Im def gong to get in touch with them however, after reading on how they make there cores and all the r&d that went into them im sold
