Slightly different setup to you guys as I have an Evo 1, but with the small 16G, meth injection, 264 Comp Cams and a few more little extras I was running a 12.22 1/4 mile.

I believe hes FWD though. ( Perhaps the time was on slicks?)
He didnt post much info about the pass, like what the 1/8 et or trap was, or what the 60ft was?

Is that in reference to me (not too sure)? If so then let me give you a few more details. I was on street radials and on a pretty poor road surface (Okinawa's roads being coral-based don't help one bit with traction). I do have AWD though. My ET was 114kph and the 1/8 was 7.88s (not great at all). 60ft times I can't tell you because I'm going by figures on my Rev/Speed meter. Okinawa has no set up drag strip to measure 1/4 mile times so this is all I've got. And we've no 4WD dyno to measure power either!

I raced a turbo escort wagon once.ROFL

Yeah...not that fast though.

No I was talking about the OP

Good times on my FWD I hit a 12.1 @ 114 with an Evo 3 16G. This was at 4700ft up to. Its all in the first half of the track. Get those 60' times down and bang gears like no other. Did you ever race the guy in the escort or what?

With that MPH you should be able to get that into the low 12's as is. But you could always add a 50 dry shot that will make up in case he starts catchin you.

OP, get some weight out of that thing, it will make a big difference depending how far you want to go.
You can do sleeper weight reduction stuff that noone would be able to spot you did.
If your interested I can give you some ideas!!

I would be interested in what you have to say.

Dispite the nuances and headaches, having dsm has it's luxuries :) .

Power on tap?
Gangsta looks?
Ability to hold 450-500hp on stock block?
Frequent clutch inspections due to dropping the trans twice a year?
Never having to be the DD due to the lack of a back seat?
Girls love the power bulge?

I would be interested in some of those ideas,I also just picked up a true Evo 3 16g off of a local, who sold it for only $120, there is no shaft play, it is in great condition, wonder what bolting this on and a new tune will do?

There is no secrets I was just going to tell him what I did as far as weight reduction; im not saying im ahead of the curve or anything LOL I just didnt want to clutter the thread....

I like clutter!!! Do tell...
