I just watched Jafromobile's video, and I should probably get one with a return / recovery line, right? Or doesn't it matter?

Yep, thats exactly what I did Monster can and all. I cut the hose so it fit right in the bottom of the can and placed it on top of the IC piping between the radiator fan and that wirm loom. The other hose I routed down beside the ic piping and it's not connected to anything. The 24oz can fits very well in that area.

Now THAT is how DSM's should be from the factory. Very impressive work, but I don't believe I have the time or skill to accomplish that. I might just loosen the radiator and move it slightly out of the way so I can fit the clam on.

One thing I could never find on this site was a pic of the driver's side D shaped hole. Here is how mine looks with the AC lines bent out of the way and the hole opened up. It might look like there is more room to bend it over but with that loom in the way this is about as good as it gets. I could also take out more sheet metal but it's not in the way, the radiator behind it is.

I'm going to have to get creative to put a clamp on this thing.

How do you open up these holes? I have a little electric grinder with a cut off wheel, but it's way to big to get in and cut anything properly.

Should I get a dremel? That doesn't seem like it would fit well either, since that really can't cut anything unless it's on it's side.

Sawsall? reciprocating saw?

Anyone with a suggestion on the best relocation or replacement of the overflow?

24oz Monster can, see the video I linked. I'm going to fit mine up and then paint it so it doesn't look so ghetto.:hellyeah:

I got my passenger side opened up with 4 small cuts with a hacksaw blade and some bending.:thumb:

Now what do I do with all the lines in the driver side hole?

Hole saw kit and a drill bro or even Tin snips and just fold the steel...

Or play connect the dots with a drill bit and a bunch of holes...

What do I do with these power steering lines? I don't think I can make that hole big enough to fit both the ps lines and the new intercooler piping.

*EDIT* I guess I can just remove it and loop the lines together. What do I need to do that?

Thanks!

I used some big tin snips and used a large screw driver as a chisel to knock the metal out of the way. But yes, a hole saw would be definitely easier and cleaner.

I deleted those PS cooler lines. If you trace them back you'll see where they connect. Just disconnect the lines, and connect the hoses to close the loop. Everything is there to bypass, no extra parts needed. Once you take a look at it it'll make sense.

I cut some of the zip ties holding the wire loom in place to get a little extra wiggle room, then used a breaker bar to pry the ac lines to the side. Putting the rubber handle against the ac lines helps to keep them from bending. Also take out as much metal in the lower right hand corner as you can. You need a good bit of room down there.

I grabbed an mini sawsall airtool from harbor freight for like $15, that took care of that problem quick. I should have done that yesterday :ohdamn: At least the holes are trimmed up nicely. :thumb:

I trimmed down the passenger fan for the j-pipe, but it seems there is no way in hell the driver fan will fit with this piping. Here's a pic:

Ok cool. I think I might just wait until I get a different radiator and slim fans. I certainly won't be needing it in the winter.

Now I'm trying to figure out my cruise control, it's right in the way of the piping.

I've learned the less the car has the better and easier it is to install everything. I removed AC, powersteering, used a non cruise control throttle cable and removed my existing cruise control stuff= a lot more friendlier install.

As for the fan situation, I am running a mishimoto radiator with their 10"slim fan on driver side and stock passenger side fan with stock shroud both wired to turn on together. I am running a MAP o2 dump on my 16g and everything still fits (tight) but fits with my Street ETS kit.

I add a cooler with lines. under $40.00 with fittings
