Ok I let my friend's 3yr old kid play w/ my viper 2way remote, and after he got done i duno wtf he did, but now the viper alarm wont arm or chirp at me. the remote use to beep/vibrate after u arm or disarm it and the car would chirp once for arm, twice for disarm, but now the remote and car will not do that, but the car will lock and unlock the door on arm/disarm, and the remote will say its armed or disarmed, but i cannot trigger the alarm in any way. :-\ wtf? anyone else who owns one of these know wtf happened? Im tryin to get up w/ the dealer but I cannot get a hold of him.

okay well I went outside and noticed the led light was solid red, which made me wonder wtf does that mean? i still couldnt find anywhere in the guides that talks about it staying solid red. but when the key is in and on the led is off. so i played w/ the valet switch some and turned the key "on" then "off" and held the valet switch down and somethin clicked and lights flashed and my alarm went off. so i was like nice okay.

so i armed it and the remote vibrated/beeped like it should, and the car chirped like it should so i started to beat on my car some to make it go off, but no luck :( but if i open hood, or doors while armed, the alarm will go off now (which before it wouldnt).

So now im stuck tryin to figure out why the hell the alarm wont go off when i beat on the car like it use to. any ideas anyone?

I wish I had some sort of advice or help, that really sucks. I had a Viper 690XV on my Eclipse, got it installed exactly one week before a Ford Ranger hit me in the passenger side.

I guess the only advice I can offer is don't let people play with your pager remote anymore. :)
