There is a product called NiteShades, or you could probably use black stained glass paint. Google = your friend.

Search for VHT Nite Shades.. it's normally $10-12 per can (you only need one). Lightly sand your existing taillights like any paint prep then people usually put three *LIGHT* coats of this stuff on and then finish with a clear.

There's a surprising number of nuts on the back inside your trunk. Just pull off the plastic trunk liner. It snaps in place.

Depends on the cop and the laws in your state. Technically you can still see the red reflector during the day, and it's hard to tell it's tinted at night as the light's still very noticable.

I used a can of rc car window tint from a local hobby shop. Looks fine and haven't had any problems with the law at all. My car is also a 90, with the black tails and black paint job everyone says it looks like something from Mad Max.

I dont know why they take the eclipse letters off. It looks too plain in the middle. It looks so much hotter leaving it the way it is.

Thanks, but I should be able to figure it out. Never really looked at it, I actually have my plastic trunk panels out right now so I'll take a look.

I think Eclipses look better without the stickers, at least without the "Mitsubishi" and model type sticker. Shaving them all is the ultimate clean look IMO. Remember, more is not always better.

They would look badass if they were sprayed with a lil clear and polished.

When I had my 94 Accord I had painted the stock tails black, and I just went to the Hires Performance Shop here in town and got some stuff called Nite Shades, it's specially for tinting tail lights. I got black but I think he said that they made it in a bunch of different colors. It's been so long I can't remember though.

It worked really well, I just sprayed maybe 4 coats and then put some clearcoat on it. Here are some pics.
