i have a 1999 eclipse gst and when i bought it the guy i bought it from had a rlf bov on it in the wrong spot the car is copletly stock but is there any way to but the bov on with out getting all the hard pipeing and stuff

Those things are junk, please buy a crushed 1G dsm BOV so you dont have to worry about problems and headaches of the leaky ones..

Also you need to recirculate, its a bad idea not to and anyone that tells you to do it is a moron ricer

Some of are cars run fine venting. my car doesnt smoke like other people say theres does. to one his own

^ I want proof that it runs right. Not all cars smoke when venting. Mine used to vent (stupid previous owner) and it seemed to run ok but I didn't have a logger to see what was really going on.

OP, don't put it on. It will vent to the atmosphere and make your car not run optimally. Look into getting something that will recirculate. A 1g (as stated already) is a popular one as they can be found at your local junk yard for cheap. They can also be crushed which will allow it to handle up to 18psi or so. If you don't want that, look for another one that you like. But I wouldn't put that bov on my car.

Please use proper spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation in your posts. Also, please make sure you're using the correct forum for your questions. This should have gone in Newbie forum, so I'm moving it there.

Also, take a look at the FAQ's, Tech Articles, and do a search before asking this type of question again. I'm fairly certain it's been asked before.

I havent had issues being vented, but I also am tuned with link and nlts for at the track, so it really doesnt matter for my quarter mile times..... it does get a little rich, as i've seen on my wideband, but its not a big enough deal with my set up to bother me. Now on an almost factory car, like my buddy had, it was a HUGE deal, my belief is because of my larger set up putting more air into the engine it doesnt lose it all compared to the factory set up????? idk maybe my car is goofy LOL

well now for the positive side.. i just ordered an rfl and it came with a talon/eclipse adapter.. i think they sound better then an ssqv or a greddy but hey thats my opinion

My car came with that POS bov... wouldnt hold more than 5 psi...
