upgrade apexi safc to safc 2

I just recently bought a 97 gst and it has the apexi safc installed. The screen is out on the safc and i was wondering if i bought the safc 2 or neo if i had to get a different harness or if it would just plug into the exiting harness

Apexi neo would be a different harness if memory serves me right. Not sure between SAFC1 and 2 though. Worse case scenario, just unhook the harness and put the new one in, it's simple.

it will plug right it. i upgraded also.

Not sure about the NEO, but I know safc and safc2 are the same. Either way if your already wired in, it's a simple rewire. Dont worry at all, go for whatever you can afford, the installation is cake.

i would toss the SAFC if you're planning on doing more upgrades, and save up for link.

There isn't anything wrong with using a SAFC. Lets stick to the question the OP started this forum with. Judging from your profile, your not even talking out of personal experience.

PS. Both safc and safc 2 are the same

I never used the safc skipped and got link, but have you checked out online stores that sell safc's?

just go within your budget like previously stated they're the same.

It's always nice to click on someones profile to see what they do and don't have. You say you have link, Say for instance the OP clicked on your profile and saw that, then maybe the OP would ask how you like it. But for you to just randomly jump in with

it does nothing for the OPs question and makes you look like a noob with no experience at all just trying to get your tech count up . But I apologize for assuming you had no experience with the SAFC.

no problem, and hey if i was just trying to get my count up i would have dont that when i started the account, im just bored rolling through the forum trying to throw my .02 out there. you never know maybe this guy does have the cash to go to link. i rather have him read what i wrote and do some more research before he goes out and wastes his hard earned money(if he does decide to go with link). but i too apologize for coming off blunt and noobish. .
