Twin scroll T3 manifold

Ya, that's what I'm thinking of doing. Instead of paying $800-1000 for a quality TS manifold to bolt to a $2-300 turbo plus shipping to Canada, I may just have a local custom make me one. It may be cheaper overall.

Im using the punishment t3 with a hx40 with the 14cm stock housing. used the non turbo water pipe and had to bend it just a bit. drain is right over motor mount but i was able to make it work without cutting. dumps i made them longer. i would add ETS they will make a ts manifold also. Dennis which housing are you using .

I'm using the non-wastegated 12cm^2 housing. The turbine housing shouldn't matter, since that's not the part that hits the water pipe. But the compressor cover for the hx40 is the same as the hx35 isn't it? Mine has maybe 3/4" clearance.

I don't mean to steal your thunder Drew, but it was faster for me to e-mail them to myself. Brian, here are some shots that should answer what you are looking for off of my car:

This measurement is from the top radiator support to the base of the T3 flange.

Here you can see if you look hard enough that there is a TON of room where the turbine housing clears the waterpipe. I am running a HX40 with a Tim's Turbos turbine housing.

Although it looks deceiving, there is well over an inch of clearance!

More than enough clearance between the turbine housing and the block:

There is about 2" clearance between the housing and the block.

All in all, I love this manifold and it's overall placement of my HX40. I would definitely recommend this manifold to anyone, Joe makes awesome stuff and his price is good too! Some last minute remarks: I am running a civic radiator, and I do not recommend that anyone run a 2g radiator with this manifold because of where the upper radiator hose is. I would run a 1g radiator (if you want to run a full radiator), or a civic half radiator with a shroud. Slim fans are a MUST with this setup, as the stock radiator fan is too thick. Although, with some cutting and grinding I believe the stock fan would work.

Best way to contact RedJack racing is through FB. Here is his FB page >>>>http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=626015086

Here are a few pictures of the WH1C installed.

Manifold is great quality. I could not be any happier with the product from Redjack.

Not the best quality pictures but they do work.

I have posted this information up several times in different threads.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the info and pictures in this thread. You guys have been very helpful in making my decision. I think I will be contacting joe to build me a manifold. I have one of his open t3 manifolds right now and the quality is awesome. I didn't know he made a TS otherwise I would have just contacted him from the start.

I like the options in this thread, but I'd like to see more DP/o2 housing photos with the manifolds if possible. Is the "only" real option to fab up your own?

Just to verify that the Redjack manifold does indeed have a divided collector for the twin scroll setup. I haven't seen any pictures of one off the car and want to make sure.

Thanks everyone for the pictures and info! It's really great to see what's out there and that I have some pretty high quality and great looking options :)

In relation to the o2 and downpipe, it's rare that I see anyone doing something other than custom. This is what I'll be doing as well considering I want a full v-band o2 housing, downpipe, and exhaust.

dexterholland04 and dragonov_elite - is it physically impossible to run a 2g radiator (as in upper hose would hit the manifold), or is it just not really recommended because of how close the upper hose would be to the manifold?

Not to take this too far off topic, but are any of you guys doing anything with heat prevention? Anyone done/doing coating or wrapping?

I have a JMF twin scroll manifold, and I had a koyo radiator. It was impossible for that combo to work with the 2g outlet, and really tight even with it moved over. I ended up going to a sirocco radiator mounted in the radiator support, it looks much better and performs very well.

I have a BW S362 hanging off of it and it clears the water pipe fine.

Here are a couple old crappy pictures of it.

Thanks for the pictures, Adam!

Great info Aaron, albeit not something I really wanted to hear (more around the thickness issue). Was the radiator too thick even without puller fans, as in do I need a thinner one? Or if I switched to pusher fans would that be ok (either by switching to 1g radiator or moving the outlet on the 2g), but close?

My brother and I are planning a new cooling system setup (read: who knows how long until we actually decide and go through with it), so I'm trying not to spend too much on changing the setup.

I was planing on going with the sirocco radiator but I cam across this Half Fluidyne for $100 shipped from a member on the Link forums and figured id give it a shot. so far it keeps the car cool but it hasn't been in the summer heat yet so if it doesn't hold up I'm gonna go with the sirocco

I had a full size 2g Fluidyne before and I test fit it with the JMF and it would have worked but it left about 1/4" between the runners and radiator, that's if you moved the outlet to the 1g position.

and I think you would have to run pushers

It physically fit in there with the water outlet out of the way, it was very close, but I imagine it would work in a pinch. You would absolutely have to go to pusher fans for that to work though.

Yeah, the sirocco probably isn't THAT much bigger than a half size anyway. It is considerably smaller than a full size radiator. I was pleasantly surprised that this keeps mine running cool even in summer with only one fan on it.

Here is a picture of it next to the 2g Koyo

well its the design of the sirocco, its a dual pass so the coolant runs past the the fans twice in theory so its in the radiator twice as long and doesnt have any dead spots
