I read through some older threads and my own recent thread about making up to 800awhp. For the most power, but street capabilities, the GT4088R seems to be my sweet spot for power, torque, and awesome power-band. The only problem I'm running into is fitting capabilities as I've also read this will be a tight squeeze... with that being said I'm currently looking at a twin scroll manifold from Punishment Racing that isn't too bad, any other decent twin scroll manifolds out there that'll run awesome with this turbo?

Another question, on twin scrolls, do they require two wastegates for operation or can they function with just one? All the ones I've seen all rock two, and I've seen one, from DN Performance, that has one but I can't prove it to be twin scroll. Anyways, let me know what you guys think - all suggestions welcome.

Just FYI, I'd did reference Twicks' setup but I don't really understand it... sorry Twicks.

A Borg Warner/Airwerks 91/79 (s366) is another great choice.

Two wastegates is ideal for a good set up but as long as its truly divided iv seen set ups get away with one.

You must have two waste gates for a twin scroll manifold! Yes it's going to be a very tight fit with that turbo in your car! You will more than likely need to do some cutting on the car to get it to work.

How much cutting would you say I'd have to cut? Or what if I were to run a GT3794R, would I have the same problem?

It all depends where the manifold puts it! I have a gt3788r for sale brand new that would fit your needs if you are interested. It even has a divided exhaust housing!

I run a t4 divided manifold that only has one wastegate and it performs well. When I talked to MAP about the manifold and how the one WG will effect spool compared to the dual WG's, they said you will maybe see a difference of 200 rpm in spool time.

Right now, until I build my other engine I've got a FP3065 that is doing just fine - thanks for the offer though!

So, basically just rock a twin w/g and call it a day? or save the money and use only one w/g? I mean 200rpm isn't a whole lot so it really wouldn't hurt. I mean if spool up is around 4k or above on a GT4088R then it'd just start a bit later than that 4k...

But my thing is, are there any manifolds that actually fit within the area without any modifications?

No you don't.

You can retain the twin scroll and use one wastegate. I remember a thread about this. I look for it and the pics. Basically it has one tube for a single wastegate but that tube is divided.

Personally I think I would rather a twin wastegate setup. This one doesn't seem optimal to me. But here is what I was talking about.

That makes sense, so how much cutting did you do to get yours to fit? I take you're running something similar to a 4088R?

Talk to Redjack Racing, Joe could make you a custom manifold that would knock your socks off.

Hey codeofdastreets for some reason its not sending any messages to you. Is your inbox full? You can text me anytime (317)270-0740. Thanks

Well I know it isn't a 40r but i have a 35r mounted on a twin scroll manifold from Punishment Racing. No fitment issues at all. It was almost meant to be.

Had been looking at this one for a while but didn't know if anyone had problems with it fitting correctly - guess I got my answer. I'm sure, with the space you have, that a 40R should fit just fine.
