ok so i put my header on tonight and noticed the exauhst side of my turbo doesnt look to good on the inside. i want to get a 16g. or should i send it off to get it rebuilt into a 16?? which way do you suggest?..money is an option...

I assume you have 14b, if so new e316g can be had for less than $600 if that's within your budget.

Explain how your turbo doesn't look too good on the inside ?
If the turbo is still working then there is no need to change it, unless you just want more power, then that's a different story.

Im gonna guess and say it's cracked badly. And +2 on the FP E16g group buy, you cant beat that price! Budget allowing of course.

edit- oh and dont forget supporting mods!

What do you mean by not looking too good?

Well when i took the manifold off i seen two decent sized Gouges i guess you could say looking down into the hot side. Turbo is still working but not as well as it used to. im planning to rebuild the motor with .20 pistons new head. so im thinking that turbo wont hold..

Well im planing on building the motor .20 over pistons 8.5:1 and i dont know if that turbo will hold up. my bro in law lent me his turbo off a gsx..it says garret on the exhuast side but the wast gate flange is really loose..when i connect the wastgate rod it doesnt close all the way. is that normal?

I use ebay for some stuff, but im not sure for a turbo. do you have one?
dude do not buy a turbo from ebay trust i had one(from previous owner)and it has alot of shaft play. Stay away from them. And how someone mention Forced Performance has a sale on a real MHI EvoIII 16G for $524 thats including shipping i just ordered mine today and should be here on friday

DONT USE EBAY TURBOS

If you love your car.

Get a turbo from a reputable vendor on this site.

MHI 16g FTW!! Since money is an option, get you a 2g exhaust mani and another good 14b, they sell for like $100. The 2g mani's are dirt cheap too, you can have them ported for better flow.

The price on their site says 599 not including shipping?? will it fit on a 1G/b, like direct bolt on?

well i still might have a little bit to spend if my taxes go right. Damn H&r Block. I already bought a header..off ebay though. but im also boring my block, .20 and i got 8.5:1 pistons with engine rebuild kit. and getting full machine work on crank and head

Those ebay exhaust manifolds crack overtime from the heat, their not that good. Yes the 16g will be a direct bolt on your '93 in fact on all 4g63t's because you can use your stock oil feed and return lines also your water lines.
