Turbo to manifold bolts stuck, but not seized

I have a leak at the turbo to manifold gasket on my 1g and am hoping to replace the gasket. All of the connecting bolts will loosen a half a turn or so, but no more than that. I've tried running them back and forth with the impact wrench while soaked in pb plaster and it doesn't help. Before I go for broke and turn the air all the way up on the impact, is there a way to get the bolts out without breaking them off?

did you try heating them up with a torch for a while?

They are probably going to break, or at least lose the threads. I used to re-thread the turbine housings. But after a billion stuck bolts, I started using a nut washer and bolt setup. That way when they seize I break the bolt with a breaker bar and both halves come right out.

^ 2 broke and 2 lost the threads so now they just spin. I'm really not looking forward to drilling out 4 bolts. When you used to rethread them, did you drill them out or blow them out with a torch? I'm tempted to try a torch, but haven't done this before...

I use a drill. Although a torch wielded properly could probably do it. I wouldn't bother repairing the threads with inserts, I'd just use smaller bolts, with nuts and washers.
