So today me and my buddy were finishing up my build at his shop. While sitting down we noticed that the head that I had purchased from a member on the forums, stated to be from a turbo car, had the stock turbo oil feed port blocked. The thing was the port is only a 1/8 BSPT...
Now I looked through close to 30 threads along with BogusSVO's head build up thread as reference towards 4g63 heads and this same oil port

These will not work ^^

Unless I missed something all 4g63 heads are suppose to be identical other than the A/T and M/T cam lifts, as well as the slight differences between the 2 or 3 different sets of the 1g cams that went into production. Other than that the heads are said to be exactly the same so why are these plugs different?

I know there are plugs and what not to fix the issue, or just run the oil from the OFH. I just cannot find any information on any heads with this 1/8 plug and want to know about it a bit more.

Sadly I didn't think I would need to take a picture when I left the shop because I figured there must have been another 4g63 with this small oil feed hole. Next chance I drop by the shop ill snap a picture of it sorry.

Sounds like someone wedged a 1/8 BSPT plug into the oil feed port to block it off.

I have seen that a few times.

You should be able to pull the plug out then tap it back for the banjo bolt

Could be a Hyundai head, or na head. I had one on the talon. Just feed the turbo from the ofh.

True but even then the N/A head and Hyundai heads are stated to have the same 3/8 bspt plug for them. Everywhere written it states that a 1g N/A head is just plug and play with a 1g Turbo block, other than cam lift, which varies. Next chance I get at the shop Ill take some more pictures and post it up to give everyone a better view.

Heres the picture of the hole, to me it honestly looks like the normal size but my friend helping me with the build believes that theres no way a m10 banjo bolt would fit in that hole.

Yes it will, pull the plug out and tap to the 10mm that you need.

The treads are messed up from the fine threads of the pipe plug.

I have seen and fixed that issue several times.

If you pull the plug out and the treads are not too bad mangled, you may be able to work a regular bolt in and out a few times to straiten the threads.

Ah alright I figured something was off here.

I am going to just run it off the OFH I was just curious why it looked smaller than the other 4g63 heads I have had, same with my buddy with the few he has worked on.
