So I switched my oil feed from the head to the ofh for my Holset and seem to be running less pressure on my stock gauge. At idle warm it sits at mark on the cluster where ideal pressure would be but seems on the low side. Compared to before it was roughly 3/4 a crossed the gauge. I think I need a real oil pressure gauge. Anyone seen a difference moving their oil feed from the head to the ofh? Thanks, Seth

You are getting MUCH more oil pressure from the OFH Seth. The head feed is already resticted. And yes a real gauge is always a must for me.

I think the turbo is okay, I’m worried about the motor not getting enough now, just weird the oem gauge showed almost 3/4 on the actually gauge. Now it sits on the low end of the 2 “lines” in the gauge itself

If you're not restricting the oil feed off of the OFH, you may be 'relieving' oil pressure through the turbo and your gauge would reflect that. If you still have oil pressure and it increases with rpm, your bearings are probably fine. BUT if you've been thrashing on the motor without out enough oil pressure to provide the necessary oil 'cushion' for the bearings at high load, then it's entirely possible for premature wear to occur.

Same here. 16 psi hot at idle.

You can setup an electronic oil pressure gauge for about $50-60. I used the JEGS cheap digital and it works great. Just remote mount the sender to chassis in front of the driver's side wheel.

Now quit being a copy cat ROFL ........I run mine that way also, on the end of a braided line.

Nick has his in a different spot than I do. Mine is attached back behind the motor under the intake manifold. I like my washers but that dam reservoir is in the way to get to my pop up headlight linkage that decided it didn't want to stay on anymore as of yesterday on my White 90. :ohdamn:

Visibility while driving is for the weak.
Use the force Luke........

I ordered an oil pressure gauge so I’ll hook that up. I’m sure it’s fine, I’m a worry wart. Plus the motor is brand new with maybe 5 miles on it

Does your engine still have its balance shafts? When they are deleted, the engine has a bit more oil pressure since it isn't bleeding a bit off on the balance shaft bearings. If the motor has correct clearances and a good pump then you should be just fine. Anxious to see what a real gauge reads and set your mind at ease.

I deleted the balance shafts and flipped the bearings. I drove it again today and it sits roughly in the middle of the gauge. Gauge will be here tomorrow
