Oil pressure after rebuild

I only have about 200 miles on the rebuilt block with balance shafts. All seems good with 80psi cold start, drops to 16-18psi fully warmed up idling at 950 and 48psi cruising at 3.5k rpms. This is on 10/30 oil. I will be changed to 20/50 VR1 after 500 miles mark. Just curious if/how much increase in pressure I should expect.

I would expect 5 to 10 lbs increase cold possibly. Warm, maybe 2 to 5 lbs. My motor runs 16 lbs at hot idle. If it ever changed, I would be concerned.

That's my experience as well going from 20-50 to 15-40.

Everyone says the stock oil pressure gauge sucks blah blah blah. I will say that it’s been spot on for me as far as where it sits and comparing that to my gauge. Yes it sucks bc it doesn’t have psi indicator but I have faith it works fine and you can use it.

I probably should add that a Model T is a very early version of automobile manufactured by Ford Motor Company for those youngsters out there....
