Car: 1998 Eclipse GSX
Goal: 600+ WHP

So I've done a little reading around about parts and on this site. I've seen a lot of talk about supporting mods such as racing cams, fuel injectors, fuel pump, intake, etc. and heard of supporting mod articles on this site such as 0G mod path but I can't seem to find any. Not sure if I'm searching the right thing or if it's under a different title than what I'm expecting but I'm running into walls.

Turbos: Divided T3 Housing GT35R 0.82 A/R with Anti-Surge Housing or a
Forced Performance HTA T3 GT3794R 0.82A/R 3" 4 Bolt Outlet

These are some of the parts I'm looking at installing: HKS 272 cams, PTE 1000cc Injectors, 4.5" Injen Short Ram Intake, Megan T3 Headers, Apexi 3" Downpipe and N1 Catback, FP 34 Fuel Surge Tank w/ 044 Pump, 2G MAF, ECM Link V3, etc...

Any suggestions, corrections, articles or books I should look at?

P.S. I am relatively new to DSM's and the auto world at large so I'm not sure if all of what I have said is right. If I say something ignorant or very stupid then I apologize..

Shoot for 300 before you go for 600 amigo. Ambitions that high lead to things being rushed and overlooked.

I would say make sure maintainence is done and then get ECMlink and play around with it while doing an exhaust first. Get a feel for your car.

^^^ +1, I have high hopes for my GS-t but decided to hit a realistic goal first. Not saying 600hp is not, it totally is! especially in a gsx where traction is less of a issue. Just start your build piece by piece without cutting any corners making sure you got all the supporting mods along the way and you'll get to 600+ with the help of people on this forum. I'm new, to the forum but not to DSM's and Evo's... The 4G63 holds dear to me, LOL. Good luck!

This is going to get ugly really quick.

600whp from a DSM requires a serious monetary involvement. Not saying you don't have it, just saying that it WILL be required.

Start here:

Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners
Tech Guide: 2G Drag Setup - DSMtuners

From there you're best to find some other cars which are running times and making the horsepower you're seeking, then use their build as a reference to what you're building. I'm not saying make a carbon copy or anything, just use it as a reference. This member, for instance, has made over 600whp with a very similar platform.

Good luck.
