Hey guys I have been a long time forum member but almost never have posted. I recently bought a new 1997 gst and drove it all the way from PA to Boston to get her home. Now I just had a problem. The car is extensively modded, including 880 injectors, gt-40 turbo and runs on 50/50 E-85 and 93 octane. The car was street tuned so not the greatest but it got the job done. Now today I was having a new radio and speakers installed and the guy installing it disconnected the battery. Now I am in a pickle because, although the car runs on dsmlink, the guy I bought it from got it tuned by his friend and did not provide the cable to connect to the laptop. I've searched everywhere to try to buy a cable but I can not find it or find onyone to borrow it from. I live in Boston Ma and would like any help from anyone that has input. Even if someone was willing to help me out over the phone or even better meet with me and try to at least help me with a street tune I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for reading this extra long post :).

Nate, you can have a cut once you stop complaining you have DSMlink and not an S-AFC :p

Once you start logging, I have a feeling you'll get more responses here than on the link forums though. When I post up there, I usually only get responses from Thomas/Dave every once in a while and then Jeff (jeffgst). And Jeff is on both forums so he helps out here as well.

Kiss my *edited to be PG* :D I loved that SAFC.

I agree. It's almost like you have to be in some type of "click" over there before anyone will help. I stay away from that forum. I've posted multiple logs and no one ever bothers to help me with them.

It not really a "click" but just the way you word your Title of the post and the description of the problem.

Keeping it short and sweet with specific questions will get you the best responses. Also if there is a specific problem, then post a SINGLE log of the problem with the logged clipped so that other users don't have to sort through 500 seconds of datalog to find a 4 second problem.

There are probably 20 or 30 new logs posted every day on that forum, but you can't expect people to examine every single log and comment about them on their own free time.

I've always went by the old slogan "A problem well stated, is a problem half solved", so I tend to be very detailed. Maybe that's part of my problem. :D

I understand that completely and I realize that you are a very respected member when it comes to DSMLink tuning, so please don't take offence to my previous post. I probably should have worded it differently.
