so i payed 40 bucks for tunerstein and cable. got it loaded on my toshiba win7 after 2 long days of a missing dll error.(the site dosnt tell you that your snj2home file changes name when loaded to a 64bit os.)and you will need to search

that was just the begining though! i dont have a serial port so i went and bought a serial to usb adapter and drivers. pluged in and...no response from ecu. i dont give up that easy so i checked port assingment and settings over and over nothing. so i decided that because there are no instructions for win 7 install it must not be compatable.
i went to the pawn shop and bought an old emachine laptop with vista.went through it all again no response from ecu. i looked up the proper way the diode an resister goes in the cable all is good, it must be my usb to serial port adapter.
back to the pawn shops. found a dell with windows xp and a serial port! i now have 3 laptops. same thing on the dell. no ecu
should it be this difficult? if anyone has ben down this road allready and can help i would really appreciate it.
