1G Ticking Sound from ECU Area

Today I did a few things to my car, nothing major. I put in new plugs, and switched a valve cover (my car came with a extra which I painted red). I started my car just to make sure everything was ok and it immediately jumped to 2k plus which is very not normal. Normally it keeps stalling unless I give it gas until it gets warmed up. Then after it had been running for about 3 min it started to make a ticking sound from what sounds like the ECU or right around the ecu. I took off the panel to get a good look but don't know what it could be

if it does turn out to be a bad ecu, and you dont feel comfortable soldering it yourself, www.dsmchips.com repairs ecu's and you can get it upgraded at the same time
