Alright so my first question is, are all four of these bolts supposed to be the same? The one circled is a nut instead of a head for a bolt.

My next question is, is there any other way to take off the turbo except from here? I cant get these bolts to break free.

Thanks for the help guys :|

You can do it with the key the way i did it was unplug the coil and cranked it over a few times plug the coil back in and your good to go!

I have everything in but i CANNOT get this bi*** to catch!
Is there a secret to it?

Im not! Im puting the oil line back in and it WONT SCREW

Well whats the difference doesn't it insert the same -_-

Walk away from it for a minute. Take a break. That damn line is a pain in the ass. The only reason I didn't replace it was because I couldn't get it undone on the other end and I didn't want to break anything. I finally got it in though. It took quite a few tries, lots of cussing, atleast half a pack of cigarettes, a couple mt. dews, and then it was in. I'm gonna tell you though... that line is a LOT easier to get to with the manifold removed. Looks like you still have the manifold mounted, so it's going to take you a little bit more oomph. Good luck though... you'll get it.

Is there anywhere to get that SS line at a store? I really hate to give up but its getting there..

Lots of vendors on this site carry them. they usually range in about $30-$50 +shipping, I lucked out here because I just happen to have a mechanic that drives and works on DSMs daily.

95weclipse....explain the issues you have been having. I've had mine for little more than a year with no leaks or problems whatsoever. The only thing was that it was a b1tch to install because I installed it while the exhaust manifold was still on. Heck, that line is probably the ONLY thing that has never leaked oil on my car.

i cant get mine to screw in, it starts to catch and then just pops out its been two days now..i even took the exhaust mani off today

It's the spacer between the intake coupler and the compressor housing.

Ps, I think your picture was supposed to be linked like this:

Edit: Hmm, the link still didn't work I don't think.

Gotta love taking the turbos off for the first time. I'll never forget my first time with the GST. Socket slipped off one of the turbo bolts and I flew 3ft backwards and into a big batch of bushes. Took me 5 minutes just to fight my way back out of them. :tease:
