Alright so my first question is, are all four of these bolts supposed to be the same? The one circled is a nut instead of a head for a bolt.

My next question is, is there any other way to take off the turbo except from here? I cant get these bolts to break free.

Thanks for the help guys :|

In this video, the thing they find in the turbo looks like what I had a picture of??

well then it should answer your question of what it does and where it goes-- notice how he said its only for use with the stock 2g manifold... otherwise it will fall through, like theres did

Im only bringing it up cause colt says it goes in between the intake coupler...

There is a black rubber "boot" looking thing that goes on the inside of the end of the intake pipe where it connects to the turbo. It's just a black rubber ring. The thing you said looked like what you took a picture of (I don't know, I don't see the picture) is a metal ring that goes at the top of the turbo where it mates to the manifold.

Here it is..

Ok I guess I have to put that back in then haha..

im about to start with my turbo replace, im replacing the stock for a small 16g, what do i need besides the j pipe? do i have to buy other stuff? i hope not

Good luck, if you have any questions that this thread doesnt already answer you can PM me im on pretty often so Ill give you a quick reply :thumb:

thanx yall, i go everything out but thers 1 oil line that i cant get off (i dont even know where to go) this is not the big oil line that has the 2 bolts; this one has a small line that goes all the way to something rounded by the oil filter. where do i take this line off?

Thats what ive been having trouble putting back on! You take it off from the middle of the turbo, If you take off your exhaust mani its much easier

didnt think about the exhaust mani but it makes sense, i didnt want to have to take it off but....so im guessing it has a bolt or nut conecting this oil line to the turbo right?

aight i got everything out, but when im trying to install the new turbo i notice

that my top oil line wont match (remember im installing a small 16g in a 2 g

where do i go from here? what do i have to do and what do i have to buy??

I ended up having to buy an adapter to keep the original feed line. I forget what size it is. I was lucky enough to have bought a new feed line (never was able to get the old one off, so it's hanging in the shop) and took that to the store with me.

im fairly new to the site and cant post a new thread. but someone told me i had to feed the new small 16g from my block using the same oil feedline thats already in the turbo. and he said to plug off the one in the car that come from the oil filter housing. were are u feeding the oil from?

After I unscrew the old line from the Location next to the oil filter, Will it be free?

Figured I would post here rather than start a new thread. Here's my question, how do you remove the exhaust manifold nut that is all the way to the right and on the bottom? The one right behind the power steering (?) pump.

Taking off the sheild that bolted to the power steering pump helps alot..It frees up alot more room to work..Also a 12pt socket helps, and also you can get one of those semi movable extensions..But you gotta be careful not to strip the nut if you have that extension..
