So I was giving my friend a sample of a dig launch, it left great and then boom, snapped out of gear and started free revving, and made a sick high pitched grinding noise. I took it out of gear and put it back in and it worked but barely it would keep trying to pop out, ( the gear shift stayed in position)

I let it cool down and drove it up and down the street 10 minutes later and it drove fine minus thudding when id turn or touch the gas. I wont be driving this til i figure it out but Im not sure what it could be, Id like to replace the correct part.

I'd agree with Justin, probably broke a rear axle and at the time the center diff (viscous) was hot and slipping, once it cooled it allowed you to drive under the power of the front wheels.. take care of that ASAP before you get into breaking more costly viscous couplers (or burning them up to be correct)

Climb under the car and yank on the rear axles at both ends, right near the diff and out by the wheels. Sometimes they break and don't even tear the boot, so just looking under the car isn't going to tell you what's up.

Rear axles are acting he same as thy have before. Little to no play. I jacked front up and wheel will free turn going backwards but when spun worward it will pull the other wheel with it.

It was my clutch the inputbshaft hole is completely loose and can move every direction. Its not chewed out it just moves way too much. There is also a large heat ring around the input shaft hole. The 6 flywheel bolts were shaved a bit too from something.
