On a 1g, does anyone know if the transmission breather is interchangeable with the transfer case breather?

I see they are two different part numbers. I have a new transmission breather and I'm hoping it will work on the transfer case.

I don't think so, the casting of the t-case where it locks in is much thicker than that of the transmission. You can still get the t-case breathers new.

Thanks jdxnc, I was afraid of that. Oh well, not like it's going to leave me stranded. I'll just clean up the old one and not worry about it for now. Maybe I'll order a new one next time I need more parts.

They are different lengths and diameter bores. The tcase one is about 3/8" longer.
