Ok, so this car is full of headaches! I have a 98 GSX over 100k miles on it. When I first got it, I had to get a new transmission, new clutch and recently got a new clutch master cylinder put in. My most recent problem was a pinhole in my feeding tube to my clutch, so I couldnt get it into gear and was stuck--not fun after driving back from school 4.5 hours! BUT--the first garage thought I needed a new clutch--so i brought it back to where i had the warranty on it, and found out it wasnt my clutch, but that I need a new transfer case. They said it was leaking all over the place. But when I run my car for a while and let it sit running, i keep cardboard under it to see if it leaks, and there is nothing. This garage has screwed me before, so Im starting to wonder... Im taking it somewhere else tomorrow for another opinion, but any suggestions? I cant really hack the money out for a new transfer case right now, so if I just kept putting fluid into it, would that work for my trip back to school and then back home again? a total of about 500miles. This car is lucky i love it so much...ha!
