Well I need to replace the clutch in my car and I want to have the flywheel done at the same time. I'm getting a new ACT 2600 along with Fidanza 8lb. flywheel. Also going to throw in some Prothane mounts while the tranny is out. The local import performance shop wants $460 in labor to do this clutch. My question is do you guys think it is worth a try for me to attempt to do this on my own? I have access to a garage with lift and tools, and a couple friends that are mechanics, but have never done this before personally. Is it easy enough for us to be able to handle it or should I just take it to a shop and have it done? Thanks. :talon:

Yes it is fairly easy if you have the tools and the patience. I am not a huge car person and I have changed out my tranny twice. I am sure there is a write up on what to do on here, or even use your Haynes manual. Which is what I ended up doing. Good luck with you decision. :thumb:

I do have a haynes manual and the dsm manual cd, and I looked at that vfaq, so I think we will try to do this and save myself some money. :thumb:
