Torquing FP exhaust manifold

How do you torque the top row exhaust manifold head stud nuts? Can barely get a open ended wrench in there. Can get a socket on the bottom row. I believe torque is 20 ft-lbs.
 
Oh I don't miss this at all. "A quarter turn at a time" is what I remember.

Start from the center and move outward. Middle. Then 1 on the right side (from the middle,) then one on the left side, etc. It can be a pain but just take your time and don't get frustrated. When you get frustrated you snap one of those bolts off in the head and then you're throwing a wrench. Personal experience.
 
Snug them up and go with it. With even my car or others with SS studs and very high end stainless tubular manifolds the nuts come loose from time to time. So we just make them tight and check every so often.
