Few suggestions:
  • You could inspect the threads on the turbine for defects.
  • Run a chaser tap to clean the threads up in the turbine housing.
  • Opt for the OE bolt set with conical washers. ARP fasteners have their uses, but many here will not suggest using ARP fasteners with exhaust components.
  • Use a Nickel-based anti-sieze for this application.

These bolts aren't catching the threads do I need to retap them I got a big 16g.

1) By all means, use a thread chaser at least.
2) Clean the threads, blow out with air.
3) You need to adjust Torque Spec when using Lubricants, which will change the torque setting to slightly lower spec.
4) What bolts are you using?
5) Do you have the original packaging, showing bolt dimension & Torque specs?
6) What thread pitch are the bolts?
7) What grade bolts, which determines torque spec?

They are Arp FP bolts

I always use the factory bolts with the conical washers when I am using a DSM flanged turbo. They don't seem to seize (and use ant-seize on them) and the special washers keep it tight.
