I'm replacing my water pump and installing a BSE kit.
According to Haynes, I have to set #1 cyl to TDC. Ok, well first it wants me to rotate the crank CW so that the gears and the Crankshaft Pulley T marks line up. VFAQ simply states rip off the crankshaft pulley, disregarding of where any of the marks are, and then rotate the crankshaft.
When I have my cam gear markings lined up, the mark on the crankshaft pulley doesn't line up to the T mark. I've read through a couple other posts but I am dead confused on this.
The head is ON the block, too and I want to avoid taking it off.
