2G timing kit/water pump recs

hey all. I'm sure this topic has been covered a million times, but the coolant leak on my 95 tsi is getting too severe to keep giving it the ol' top-her-off-and-go. what are the best timing belt/water pump options to buy in the big 26?

OEM Kevlar reinforced belt from the evo. You can get the Aisin water pump from RockAuto. Aisin made the factory pumps.

Why do you think it's the water pump? Do you see it leaking?
If not, do a coolant pressure test to find the leak. You can rent a tester at auto store or tool rental place.

it's definitely leaking from the pump when I look under the car. I noticed it the last time I changed the oil

What’s the best?

I’ve had a gates racing blue belt for the timing belt and balancer belt. It’s been 10 years and has 25k miles. Belt looks dirty but doesn’t show any signs of cracking

For the hydraulic tensioner only use oem Mitsubishi

FYI the 95 oem tensioner will be hard to find. modify your cover or change to a 2gb cover and use the later tensioner. No other mods necessary.

2G - "early 95" timing tensioner, build date Dec 94

i am going to order a timing tensioner soon, i have all the other parts for the timing belt job except thatmy build date is Dec 94, so that makes me a "early" 95 right? so i do need the early 95 tensioner correct?i just dont want to order the wrong one
