sorry i didnt have time for a pic, but im sure you know what im talking about,, but when i was timing, it, it would idle around 2g, so i turned it down to 750,, but when i was driving it, it would buck, and hesitate really bad,,,,

well the biss has never been touch, i just dont know what it is, it was running fine before i pulled the motor out, i just had to change the CAS out, ### me 92 eagle, had a different wiring harness then the 91 laser,, how do i go about adjusting the biss, set timing to 5 degree,, then back it out til it drops to 750,, around there

im pretty sure it not,, plus the car wouldnt run with it 180 out,,right?

I've read on here that it won't run for some people, but will for others. I just reinstalled my CAS after replacing the o-ring and it ran when installed correct AND 180* out. I can't say I noticed any difference (at idle...I didn't drive it) either way. Check out this page for instructions on how to check and make sure it's lined up correct:

i check the CAS, the mark all line up,, so i dont think it is the problem, im going to try and set the timing to 5 degree, and work the idle with the biss,., and see what i get,, now, do i have to ground the ignition timing adjustment plug?,, and what is that really for,,,

Im guessing your timing is still way out, I wouldnt recommend driving your car until your sure it is ok, if its running real slow you probley have it majorly retarded.

You need to ground out the timing plug so the computer doesnt compensate for the adjustment your trying to make.

Snowboarder posted some great info, print out the info (if you have a printer) sit in the garage and study.

From my experience, the two most important aspects are properly marking the crank and cover, so your timing marks are easy to identify with the timing light. And make sure you ground the timing plug or the timing will never be steady, it will keep jumping around and you will never get it in time.

Good luck, check twice, adjust once.
