I have just rebuilt my whole engine from top to bottom and i had a few question that i would hope to be answered.....I have eagle rods...ross pistons..my bottom end is bored .30 over so my pistons are.30 over pistons as well....I have a stage 1 head with titanium springs and retainers to help with the comp 101200's....I need to know that if i drop these cams in and set my timing to t.d.c..with the cam gears lined up at the marks and with the two dowels at 12 o'clock that i will be ok.....I would just like reasurrance on this b/c im new to the dsm scene....Thanks...:talon:

Titanium springs?

Yeah, installing the cams straight-up would be with the dowels at 12 o'clock, cam gears aligned, and crank at TDC.

From what it appears like you may not need to. But, I would try to get some adjustable cam gears to get them dialed in correctly. But, you should be fine for now. But, you may also want to hurry up and get that Dsmlink to help you get that motor under control.

well the car fired up.... timing was good but my car is overheating.....I thought i blew a head gasket last time so thats the reason for buying the new head, cams and head gasket....but its overheating again!!!i dont know why it is overheating....my coolant fans wont come on unless i make them by turning on the defrost or a/c.....does anyone know what the problem could be?????

the coolant temp sensor....I replaced the one on the radiator....I can let the car run and its fine but i took it out for a spin and put load on it and it got real bad.....i heard someting pop like a hose or something and there was coolant everywhere......I know its not the head gasket....what about the water pump???? even though its brand new with about 300 miles or so.....thanks for the help so far....

Well guys i figured out the problem i think.....My radiator is clogged...i did a temp test and my top hot was hot but the bottom wasnt as hot so i figured it wasnt getting enough heat to turn the fans on so im guessing its clogged....Thanks guys for all your help......
