Today a buddy and I hooked my car up to his logger and saw my timing was -2*. My question is can we just adjust my timing watching the logger rather than using a timing light?

No, you must use a timing light.

The ECU only knows what the CAS tells it and your trying to set the CAS.

You also have to unplug your logger to set the timing.
With pin 10 on the DLC and the timing adjust terminal grounded your putting the ECU into the BISS adjustment mode not the timing adjustment mode.
