timing belt help

I have my timing belt area apart right now. all the marks seem to be in place. The car is lacking power and ther's a rrrrrrrrrrr sound coming from the timing belt area when i rev up the engine. What else should i look for?? everything seems to lign up and I have a screw driver in cylinder #1 so when all the marks are aligned the screw driver is in the up position. thanks

Can you get any pictures. RRRRRRRR sound to me would be an over tight timing belt which shouldn't be the case with the auto tensioner, unless somebody really really over tightened it. Was the timing belt recently replaced?

According to the guy I bought it from it was recently replaced. That's why I took it apart to see if there was something not in place. I will get pictures in a little bit.

check to make sure the crank sensor plate is facing the right way... and also looks like the oil pan was redone check and make sure the right bolts are in the front of the pan they are shorter than the rest if the longer ones are in the front it will rub on the timing belt

the mark that is off is for the balance shaft shouldent be a huge deal .

how do I know if the crank sensor plate is facing the right way?

also how do I know if the timing belt is too tight?
