i am putting a new head gasket on and i cant get the timing belt cover off so i can loosin the tension on the timing belt. i am new to this can somebody please help me ?

Best bet would be to go to autozone and buy a Haynes manual.

i can do it its just there are screws that are under pulleys and i need to know if i need to take some pulleys off or if there is another way of doing this

Pulleys do come off everything you need to remove the cover comes off, and bolts in the cover there is a write up on vfaq 1g timing belt, if im not mistaken. Step by step instructions. We are here to help.

o ok thank you thats ### i thought but wasnt sure

i have the car manual but sometime its hard to understand it

Follow step by step spend some time get in there and start diggin in, thats how i learneded. Check vfaq again, and do a search. dissasembly is easier than you think.

i have taken off the cover and the automatic tensioner and the belt still wont come off it didnt loosen at all what do i need to do ?
