has anyone ever bought and used one of the 4g63 7 bolts from tigerjapanese.com? it is a complete motor ready to drop in pretty much.
 
i orderd from jazzproparts and they suck stay away from them everything was broken when i got my motor from them and they wouldnt fix it...
ive seen tigers site a few times and there price's look ok i would call them and ask questions and find out about what they do incase things are damaged
 
No matter who you go with, one small piece of advice. Power wash the water jackets to death, then power wash them again and again! All of those engine swap motors have been sitting idle for quite awhile and will have rust inside the jackets. I've had a couple and several other people I know as well have ALL had overheating problems that were eventually traced back to rust. I understand the desire for a 'simple swap' but if you can, have the block torn down and hot tank that block first! Also, the cheapest online vendor I've ever found was flashoptions over in japan. They are the guys most importers/exporters buy from before inflating the price.
 
Out of curiosity, what happened to your original motor? Is the block trashed, or do you not want to rebuilt it for other reasons? You have a 1999, which has the best designed thrust bearing of any 7 bolt motor, and you're looking to put in a used 7-bolt of questionable condition. I never really have understood the desire for JDM motors, you're essentially paying for a used stock motor. If your block is still in usable condition I would recommend going with an eagle/wiseco combo, which can be had for around $750, plus the cost of bearings and installation at a machine shop. So, for less money than you would pay for some "great" condition JDM motors you can essentially get a brand new motor with a forged bottom end.
That being said, if you have your heart set on a drop in JDM motor, be aware of a few things. Cylcone motors require some accesories to take advantage of the Cyclone intake manifold, a quick search will tell you everything you need. Also, be sure to check on the condition of the head, it is not entirely uncommon to get a motor that has a snapped timing belt and thus a trashed valvetrain. Good luck with your build up, whatever path you decide to take.
