Anyone have a video of what lifter tick sounds like? My car developed a tick. Not sure what it is. Here is a video of the noise Ticking video

Okay I'll give this a try I didn't think about them being on the lobe, but that makes sense. I also have an extra set of lifters laying around I could try. Thank youI'd agree it sounds like what you are hearing is an HLA.
When you remove the valve cover to inspect you also need to rotate the engine to different spots. If the collapsed lifter is compressed on a cam lobe you aren't going to feel any play. If you do find one that seems to be collapsed re-install the valve cover and run the engine again. Then pull it back off and check that one again making sure it isnt on a lobe. They will bleed down so this verifies the lifter is actually bad and not just bleeding down.
Its a huge pain to do all this. A lot of times it's just easier to get a new set of lifters.
