So I went to autozone tonight to try and tackle my "no power at 4K rpm" and I had them check for codes. two came up:

P1689 CCD messages from TCM 1) Open or short circuit condition 2) Failed TCM 3) Failed ECM

P0132 Cylinder 1-4 heated O2 sensor high voltage 1) Open or short circuit 2) Poor electrical connection 3) Faulty 1-4 O2 sensor.

SO with that said I went ahead and bought a new O2 sensor in hopes of it fixing my woes. Well they gave me the wrong one so I went back and returned it and proceeded to buy the correct one which they didnt have in stock. So I got my money back and went next door to Oreillys. I explained my symptoms (no power at or around 3k-4k rpm. sometimes at 3k rpm engine all of the sudden kicks in and I get a boost of acceleration (not all of the time though). Poor idling). Just so happens that the guy behind the counter owns a boosted 1G eclipse. He told me that from the sounds of it, my ECU might be going out. He also told me that I can use the ecu from a 95-?? DOHC neon ecu.

So my questions are these: From what I have written what are your guys opinions? I have similar posts up with people saying to check my coilpack, change fuel filter (Which I already did) change sparkplugs (done that too). Are there other vehicles that share the same ECU that I can try to search for? Does anyone have an ECU for a 99 GS n/t that they want to sell??

Thanks in advance for your guys help!!

I would agree the ECU is shot. They don't always just throw an Bad ECU code. Most of the time they will throw a whole lot of codes when they go. I had one go bad just recently. I am unsure of what part # are compatiable with what on the 2g's. Call a dealer and ask for part #'s of that that motor for the years of 95-99 and see which ones match. Best Idea I have for that. As far as yours goes you can get it rebuit by ecmtuning the same guys that do dsmlink. I had mine repaired by them just a couple of weeks ago only cost me 52 dollars plus shipping. Also I see that you are from omaha there are a few 2g 420a's at both upullits. I would say about 5 total. I believe that they only charge about 40 bucks or less for ecu's. They should all still be there I was just there pulling out a window yesterday. There was also one at a yard that sits next to the upullit on 60th it;s called uwrenchit it's only 2 bucks to get into upullit and it;s good at both yards. Just keep the paper they give you when you pay. I think uwrench is 3 dollars to enter. Also upullit can help you with which ones are compatible. hope this helps. Any questions PM me. You could try hitting up chad here in CB he runs 3dmotorsports.

Fatness Thanks a ton for your help, much appreciated!! do you know any other dsm'ers in the area? Im new to this particular scene, not to mention the midwest area (from the west coast) Once again thanks bro!

Yeah search omaha/council bluffs on the forums and the first one that comes up should be one of a whole lot of guys from the area that meet up from time to time.
